Welcome to our home

Whispering Falls Bed & Breakfast is a quiet country retreat, yet central to many of the events and amenities that Prince Edward County and Belleville areas have to offer. ‘The County’ as it is affectionately called, is a growing tourist destination with art galleries, museums, wine tours, water sports, and golfing. Shop for antiques or browse the boutiques in the picturesque towns of Bloomfield, Wellington or Picton. Fine dining is plentiful.

Nothing in Ontario compares to the sand dunes at Sandbanks Provincial Park. Swimming is good there as well as at the smaller North Beach Provincial Park. Roblin Lake which is near to us, offers a park and a beach.

Our property

Our 1890 gracious farmhouse has been lovingly restored over the last few years. In the dining room, you may have breakfast at the formal table or you may prefer the romantic ‘Table for Two’ set in the bay window. We have a picturesque property with views of the marsh, bridges over the creek, gardens, and the barn right from the dining room window!

Our name, Whispering Falls, comes from the seasonal waterfall running down from the escarpment behind the house. Some of our 17 acres is environmentally protected land, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural environment. Our many feeders attract a large variety of birds close to the house for your viewing pleasure. You just might see deer, rabbits, raccoons or turtles. Perhaps you’ll be tempted to explore the marsh life or amble along the paths to enjoy the interesting array of wildflowers. Possibly the large perennial gardens or the trails through the woods will entice you outdoors for a stroll. We’d be happy to assist you with plant and bird identification as well as with trail hikes. Maybe you’ll just enjoy sitting on the deck or the veranda to relax and take pleasure in viewing the countryside.

Whatever you desire to do, your cordial hosts Barbara and Dan trust that you will enjoy your visit.
